This post is about random pictures that I found on my laptop. As I mentioned last post, my camera is broken, so here are some things I took pictures of and always meant to write about, but didn't.
This guy was crawling away from the lawn at around 10 pm one autumn night at my university. It's like, a hammerhead worm.
I thought the lighting was so etheral. This was on a hike in one of the local redwood state parks.
Something is wrong with this picture. Could it be the Swastika on Buddha's belly? Yes, yes, I know it is an ancient symbol that belongs on images of unity and harmony like this, but still, in a post-WWII world, you can't negate the irony. A Nazi Buddha.

These pictures were taken after a storm in January of 2008, I think. They've been on the blog before but they're so Caravaggio-esque that I just had to share them again.
Next we have... little Nick-a-boo's birthday! Well, he's not so little anymore. He's 9 now! Given that I've helped take care of him as a nanny since he was 18 months, I am so proud of the wonderful young man he is shaping up to be. Time has flown by so quickly!
Fierce savages!
The rest of these are just plain random and I'm putting them up because... I don't know why. I just am.
Alex and I as the Corpse Bride and Victor, her groom, on Halloween of 2005
My great uncle Larry and aunt Carol. At least I think he's my great uncle. He was my grandma's brother. Does that make him my great uncle? They're both amazing people and I wish we got to see them more often, but they live in Washington state.
My big brother with a big bass at the lake before he let it go
Me with my baby cousin Brody when he was just born. I was 17.
With Brody now. He's 9! And obviously related to my "special" sister and I
With my momma as a baby. I also still look the same.
At 1 or 2
At 3, I think.

Now that you've seen me at 17, look at my progression as a human being (or lack of progression).

Now you know why people I've only known in pre-school can recognize me as an adult. I never changed! Well, my elf ears have gotten less pointy, at least.
And here's the grand finale! Alex's Random Lunch from 2006. It's a classic, what can I say.
Mackenzie's Momma -- Thanks! And I can't wait to see the pictures of the Alpine kids. :)

Aw those are lovely pictures. The Clouds and trees remind me of Wuthering Heights. A favorite book and movie of mine (1992 version).
Oh and I have Elf Ears also. I'm always getting asked if I have elf in me..so don't feel bad.
Great pictures :D
Those are some neato pictures there! I still ADORE that picture of you when you're 3. You're so darn precious in that photo, and you still are today, a storin! *HUGE hugs* Your grandma and great-uncle-you-suppose live in Washington state, you say? Where abouts there, eh?
